የወያኔ ፓርላማ ሰሞኑን ባካሄደው ስብሰባ ራሱ ያጸደቀውን የይስሙላ ህገ መንግስት በመጣስ ሁለት ተጨማሪ ምክትል ጠቅላይ ሚንስትሮችንና የውጭ ጉዳይ ሚንስትርን ጨምሮ ሌሎች ጥቂት ሚንስትሮችን በመሾም ቀሪው ባለበት እንደሚረግጥ ከሃይለማሪያም ደሳለኝ የቀረበለትን ተቀብሎ አጽድቋል።

ይህን የህወሃቶች ጊዜ የወሰደ፣ ጥንቃቄ የተሞላበትና የተጠና ሹመት በተመለከተ ገና ያኔ የዘረኛው መለስ ዜናዊ ግብኣተ መሬት ይቅርና በወያኔዎችና የቅርብ ዘመዶች በሚስጥር የተያዘው ገሃድ ሞቱ በይፋ ሳይገለጽ፤ የነበረከት የለቅሶ ሀገር አቀፍ ወጥ ሙሾና ረገዳ ተደርሶ ሳይመረቅ ፤ ዘማሪያን በመዝሙራቸው፣ ደራሲያን በግጥሞቻቸው፣ ዘፋኞች በዘፈኖቻቸውና ተዋኒያንም በትእይንታቸው ”ባለ ራዕዩ መሪ” እያሉ ከመዘባረቃቸው በፊት፤ አዜብ መስፍን የምርጫ ቅስቀሳ እንደሆነ ባሳበቀባት ንግግሯ ”የመለስ ራዕይ እስካልተበረዘና እስካልተከለሰ ድረስ … ወዘተ ወዘተ ከማለቷ እጅግ በፊትና የጠቅላዩን መሞት  ያወቁ ሁሉም ወያኔዎች በድብቅ እህህ በሚሉበት ወቅት ሳይቀር የኢትዮጵያ ሕዝብ ካንድ በላይ ምክትል ጠቅላይ ሚንስትር ሊኖር እንደሚችል ያውቅ ነበር።

አንዳንድ ልበ ብርሃን የማሕበረሰባችን አባላት ያህን ጉዳይ እንዲያውም ሲበዛ ወደ ሗላ ጎትተው ጨካኙ መለስ ከመታመሙ በፊት ከሚቀጥለው ሀገር አቀፍ ምርጫ በሗላ ሊተገብራቸው ካሰባቸው የተነቃቁ የወያኔ አባላትን ማደንዘዣ እና በወያኔ ውስጥ እየታየ ያለውን የህወሃት የበላይነት ይብቃ ማጉረምረም ማስተንፈሻ ዘዴዎች ውስጥ እንዳንዱ የሚጠቅሱት አልጠፉም፤ የሶስት ምክትል ጠቅላይ ሚንስትሮችን ሹመት ጉዳይ ፤ ጨካኙ መለስ በጨካኙ ሞት ተወሰደና እስከ ዛሬ ተጓተተ እንጅ።

የሕዝብ ዓይን ያየውን በዚህ መልኩ ይናገር እንጅ እንዲህ እንዳሁኑ ህግ ተጥሶ በጠራራ ፀሐይ ያለ ምንም ማስተባበያ ሹመቱ ያሰጣል ብሎ አልጠበቀም ነበር። ይልቅስ ከዚያ በፊት የወያኔ ማለዘቢያ ንግግሮችና ማስታረቂያ ወይም ግራማጋቢያ መመሪያዎች ካልሆነም  ሁሉ በጄ ሁሉ በደጄ የሆነው ወያኔ የግል ንብረቱ በሆነው ፓርላማ አማካኝነት አንቀጽ 75ን ሞረድ የደርጋታል የሚል ግምት ነበር፤ በነበር ቀረ እንጅ። ከዚህ ይልቅ በጊዜው የተመረጠው የሕዝብን ከመሬት ጠብ የማይል ንግግር፤ ”የነቶኔ ሃሳብ ነው፣ ያሸባሪዎች መላምት ነው፣ እንትና እና እንትና የሚባሉ ንቅናቄዎች በዚህ መልኩ ያሻቸውን ቢያወሩ እኛ ግን ከባለራዕዩ ራእዮች ጋር ሳንበረዝና ሳንከለስ ቀጥለናል” እየተባለ እንደተለመደው በሕዝብ ላይ ተሾፈ። ዛሬ የሆነው ግን የህዝብ አይን ያየውና የተናገረው ሆነ።

የእስራኤል ኤሌክትሪክ ኩባንያ የኢትዮጵያ ኤሌክትሪክ ኃይል ኮርፖሬሽንን ማኔጅመንት ተረክቦ ለሦስት ዓመታት ያህል ለመምራት የሚያስችለውን ቅድመ ዝግጅት አጠናቅቋል፡፡ ሌሎች ወደ 50 የሚጠጉ የእስራኤል ልዩ ልዩ ኩባንያዎች ኢትዮጵያ ውስጥ መዋዕለ ንዋያቸውን ለማፍሰስ ወይም ኢንቨስት ለማድረግ መጠየቃቸውን በኢትዮጵያ የእስራኤል አምባሳደር በላይነሽ ዘቫዲያ ገለጹ፡፡

የእስራኤል ኤሌክትሪክ ኩባንያ 20 መሐንዲሶች በቅርቡ ወደ አዲስ አበባ መጥተው ሥራውን ይጀምራሉ ተብሎ እንደሚጠበቅ አምባሳደሯ አስረድተዋል፡፡ የእስራኤል የኤሌክትሪክ ኩባንያ የኮርፖሬሽኑን ማኔጅመንት ለሦስት ዓመታት ለመምራት የሚያስችለውን ሥራ ያገኘው ለዚህ ተብሎ የወጣውን ዓለም አቀፍ ጨረታ በማሸነፉ መሆኑ ታውቋል፡፡

የኢትዮጵያ ኤሌክትሪክ ኃይል ኮርፖሬሽን በሁለት እንዲከፈል የተወሰነ ሲሆን፣ የኃይል ሽያጭ፣ የደንበኞች አገልግሎትና አስትዳደራዊ ጉዳዮች ለእስራኤሉ ኩባንያ ይሰጣሉ፡፡ ሁለተኛው ኃይል የማመንጨትና የማስፋፋት ሥራዎች በኮርፖሬሽኑ አማካይነት ይከናወናል፡፡ ከዚህ ቀደም መንግሥት የቀድሞውን ቴሌኮሙኒኬሽን ኮርፖሬሽን ማኔጅመንት ለፈረንሳዩ ፍራንስ ቴሌኮም መስጠቱ ይታወሳል፡፡

ሌሎቹ 50 ኩባንያዎች ለመሰማራት የሚፈልጉት በሶላር ኢነርጂ፣ በውኃ ቴክኖሎጂ፣ በመስኖ ልማት፣ በጤናና በሌሎችም በርካታ የልማት ዘርፎች መሆኑን አምባሳደሯ አስረድተው ከኩባንያዎቹ መካከል የተሟላ አቅም፣ ብቃትና የአሠራር ጥራት ያላቸውን ለይቶ ለማወቅ የሚያስችል የማጣራት ሥራ ኤምባሲው በማከናወን ላይ መሆኑን አስታውቀዋል፡፡

The trade-off offered by authoritarianism to its client-constituents is security and high growth rates. After Meles challenges may force change, or build the case domestically for a new strong man.

Meles Zenawi, the former Prime Minister of Ethiopia, has been dead for around three months. But the “Melesmania” personality cult, though discreet in his lifetime, shows no sign of fading. From giant portraits in the streets to stickers on the windscreens of almost any vehicle, a smiling Meles is still everywhere.

The sudden death of Meles shook the whole of Ethiopia. The shock quickly gave way to fear of an unknown and threatening future.

The regime did everything to exploit this fear for its own benefit. It has issued continuous calls for the nation to unite around the memory of the dead leader and, above all, around the project he designed and imposed with an iron hand. The new Prime Minister, Hailemariam Selassie, endlessly repeats that he will pursue “Meles’s legacy without any change”. He has replaced not a single cabinet minister. It could be said that the regime is running on autopilot, with the Meles software driving the leadership computer. Plunged into disarray, the governing team is hanging on to this software like a lifebelt. Why?

The making of Melesmania

Until the crisis of 2001, the handful of leaders of the Tigrayan People’s Liberation Front (TPLF), the dominant force in the Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF) in power since 1991,[1] worked in a remarkably collective way.  Within this group Meles was – and not always – the primus inter pares, surrounded by strong, clever and articulate figures united by a radical Marxism. The crisis culminated in the expulsion of most of these figures, in a massive purge and finally in a threefold power shift.

The first shift saw Meles emerge as the unchallenged supremo, moving quickly to clip the wings of the few leaders who seemed to be acquiring a solid political base. He promoted only those whose loyalty he considered unshakeable, whose positions depended entirely on his goodwill, people like Hailemariam Dessalegn. Radiating outwards from a first circle of “advisers”, almost all Tigrayan, all the lines of real power penetrated down to the base of the State apparatus, whether federal or regional,[2]  to the Party and to whole sectors of the economy.

PM Hailemariam: Ethiopian troops will remain in Somalia

Ethiopian troops will remain in Somalia until African Union forces fighting Islamists can take over, Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn said Wednesday, as he met with his Somali counterpart.
“We are waiting for AMISOM (African Union Mission in Somalia) force to come and replace us, and until we get that assurance then we will be waiting there,” he told reporters.

Hailemariam, speaking alongside newly elected Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, on his first official visit to the Ethiopian capital, gave no timeline for a pull out of troops.
Mohamud said that the Shebab is “literally defeated” although many experts say it remains a potent threat and also warned foreign fighters with the extremists to leave Somalia.
“We have no relationship, and we do not intend to have one, with the foreign fighters in Somalia,” Mohamud said. “The only option for them is to leave the country.”
